Attraction Marketing - What do you really market?
59To succeed in Internet Attraction Marketing or in any marketing for that matter you must understand what it is that you are really marketing. Sure you must know your product and your target market but is that what it is you are really marketing and to whom you are marketing?
Have you ever walked into a business place to buy something (or maybe you were just thinking of buying something and wanted to check it out) and had the salesperson immediately climb all over you? They start in and just keep talking about all the features of the product you are looking at and how wonderful it is and blah blah blah. They never took time to find out what you wanted and tried to sell you based on their opinions. Maybe they were the arrogant type and they have this way of making you feel like you are stupid or something? While looking at purchasing a particular type of service I had a representative of a well established company say "well if you fail to plan you plan to fail." Well pardon me, just because my plan does not fit into your plan does not mean I am not planning, needless to say I was not to inspired to continue business with that rep even though the product might have been great. He knew a lot about his product and services and had been with that line for number of years but all that knowledge was lost on me by that one comment.
I have a car salesman friend who sells for a line of vehicles that I never considered really as my first choice of vehicle. Not that this line is not good or anything, its just that I had other preferences. When I first went to him I got the feeling that he was truly interested in getting me the best deal and the best vehicle for my money. He did not come across like he was trying get the last dollar out of my pocket, the most for the company and ultimately a higher commission. He was honest with what he knew about the vehicle good or bad demonstrating over the years a very high level of honesty and integrity. Whenever I did have a problem with a vehicle that I purchased he went to bat for me. As a result I now consider him my first choice of contact when considering another vehicle and over the years have bought a number of vehicles from him. He did not just "make a sale" he made a "loyal customer" and if he moved to a dealership of another auto-maker I would go there.
You see in Attraction Marketing your real product is you. Jim Rohn has said "to attract attractive people you must become attractive" and that is so true. One of our early mentors in our business often told us that it was all about relationships saying that " I want to establish good relationships so that if something happens to the company I represent my customers or business partners will follow me."
A story that I have posted on my blog "Johnny the Bagger" really beautifully illustrates this whole point. A true story by Ken Blanchard and Barbara Glantz reminds us of how and why we make an impact by what we do.
Is it important to be strongly convinced about your product or service? Is it important to know all about your product or service and the features of them? Of course it is, but not so that you can use your knowledge with ingenious sales tactics and strong arm sales pitches but so that you can become a person of value. You can offer valuable information and service, becoming that person of honesty, integrity and attractiveness that others will want to deal with. You see Johnny maybe didn't know a lot about how to run a store or all the nutritional details of the foods on the shelves but he had learned a valuable lesson about people. Johnny did not set out to "market himself", he just want to love people and share with them some things in life and make life more enjoyable.
You are what is really being marketed.

You know, the post make a damn good point.
But to become an attractive person, the problem is YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOURSELF.
You need to GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
Some of my down line dont want to do it.
Changing yourself is really a hard job, but trying to change SOMEONE is even an harder job.
But the pity is you need to become an attractive person to succeed in this industry, otherwise it's just no going to work.
thanks for sharing:)
